VOLUNTEER AS A TEACHER IN TANZANIA - ARUSHA

Teaching Volunteer Program in Tanzania - Arusha

Do you dream of volunteering as a teacher in Tanzania? Join Osiligi Volunteer's Teaching Project in Arusha! Schools here often have big classes and not enough teachers. As a volunteer, you'll help by leading classes or assisting local teachers. You can also work with students who have disabilities and need extra help to do well in school.

Here's what you'll get:
- Programs start on the 1st and 15th of each month
- Affordable fees start from $295 for one week
- You'll have accommodation, meals, airport pick-up, orientation, and 24/7 support included
- Get hands-on experience teaching in large classrooms

Plus, you'll get to explore Tanzania's amazing landscapes and wildlife, staying in a town close to the breathtaking Mt Kilimanjaro.

Here's what to expect and how you'll make a difference:

In Tanzania, kids enjoy going to school and think education is super important. But when they grow up, many teenagers leave school to help their families. Volunteers bring new ideas and experiences to the kids' education, making them love learning even more, opening their minds to new things, and encouraging them to keep studying for a better future.

As a Teaching volunteer, you'll work in schools where classes can be pretty busy, with around 30 to 50 students. Your help makes a big difference because it lets teachers focus more on teaching.

You'll help out local teachers or even lead classes yourself in different subjects like

  • English,

  • Math,

  • Science,

  • Geography,

  • History,

  • Art, and P.E.

There's also a chance for volunteers to work in a special school for kids with different disabilities. These students need extra care and support with their studies. If you've worked with disabled people before or are interested in helping out, let us know in your application.

Just a heads up, schools in Tanzania have different holiday times, so your project might close for a bit. If that happens during your project, you can take some time off to explore Tanzania or switch to another teaching place that's still open.
